Re: Off Subject: USA Bashing: Ignore the World Cup! 9LONG) German team ranked...From: Raymond Stephen (stephen.raymond@dhhs.tas.gov.au)Sat Jun 10 02:31:25 2006
Football - a game played with a ball that is kicked with the foot. Divided into different varieties - the original parent body was the "Football Association". The game they played sometimes in the beginning was referred to as "football (Assoc)" - hence the term "soccer". Other variants of the game were under the umbrella of the "Rugby Football League" - hence "rugby league"; the "Rugby Football Union" - now known as "Rugby (Union)"; and of course the American Football League which is on its own, as is the game played in Australia called "Aussie Rules", the official title of which is the Australian Football League, but which everyone calls "footy". The irritating demand of the soccer fraternity for their game to be called football is arrogant, unreasonable, and unrealistic. It is still the Soccer World Cup. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
