You may be able to control your kid's environment and exposure. The thing you can't control is the individual they marry (or have sex with) and what his attitudes and experiences have been. The only HIV positive Ob patient I have cared for wasn't aware of her husband's "other life," until she tested positive.

I would lean against a breast cancer vaccine for me personally (or my kids) unless we were in a high risk group, until it's been on the market long enough for longer term side effects to show up. I hope that my kids will be in a low risk group for HPV, given what they are being taught about sexuality at home.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
