Re: Vertex to Breech in laborFrom: Dean Huffman . (dean@thehuffpeople.net)Wed Jun 7 14:52:08 2006
.. When I was in practice in Topeka, Kansas, there was an OB in town, from Australia, who had an abdominal x-ray of a patient. It showed a fetus in breech presentation with a scalp lead on its head. Clearly, the fetus had rotated during labor. Dean Huffman - - - - Date: Sun, 4 Jun 2006 17:00:36 -0500 Subject: Re: Vertex to Breech in labor Yup, right after I moved to WV. Baby was vertex in labor but had severe variables. Thank GOD the OB checked her in the room to see what was going on. He felt vertex too. By the time we got to the OR and did the C/S the baby was breech. I am glad he had checked her before we went down because I had only been here a few weeks and I didn't want him to think I couldn't fell the difference between the 2 parts. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
