Re: A rant and a pollFrom: Garry E. Siegel, M.D. (garrys@mindspring.com)Sat May 20 21:40:27 2006
Well, as Robert said, no good deed goes unpunished. You try to contact the patient in what most would think is a reasonable fashion, and you must worry about the recriminations. You treat the sexual partner, and if something bad/weird happens, ditto. Doing the right thing isn't always the right thing to do, and that is awfully sad. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
