Provide phone number for sliding scale clinic to give to partner, with documentation of advice that without treatment she will become reinfected. 3. Office manager or physician talks with patient now or at next contact and explains professionally that you do not tolerate that kind of behavior towards staff. If she is angry about trying to contact her through her cousin, advise her to provide more robust contact information, or ask her to phone outreach clinic one every two weeks to check in with a staff member. If behavior does not improve, discharge from practice (if able), as patient fulfills the 1% rule (1% of patients cause 99% of problems). Have a good weekend. Ashley

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
