Re: Timing of TLFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Fri May 19 15:07:55 2006
I don't think Vicryl would be a problem with the Parkland technique, only with Pomeroy. You don't want the tubal ends contiguous to each other when they are healing. Ronald E. Ainsworth, MD, FACOG -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Dr Eberhard Lisse Sent: Friday, May 19, 2006 11:30 AM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Timing of TL That's what I am saying. I don't use chromic any longer because of BSE outlawing it in Europe and because Vicryl is resorbed easier anyway. But I am also worried about the delayed absorption and thus only do Parkland's. Hence my question. el

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
