this is a good review for gynecologic uses of cytotec, not all studies show benefit.

In principle Cytotec should have no appreciable action on the non pregnant cervix. I would like to see a RCT before assuming that the postings are not just anecdotal evidence.

I've been pleased with 200 micrograms orally around 12 hours beforehand.

Not all pharmacies carry it, apparently, so I tell them to be sure not to wait until the DAY before to get it.
