Never used it. Ronald E. Ainsworth, MD, FACOG -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of dmecnm@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, May 09, 2006 7:06 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: CoSeal Is anyone using CoSeal on C/Sections? It is a "surgical sealant" from Baxter. The product insert states "CoSeal is indicated for use in vascular reconstructions to achieve adjunctive hemostasis by mechanically sealing areas of leakage." One of the OBs wants to use it for all her sections. The product rep says that it is becoming the standard of care across the nation. The OB director isn't so sure. She wants to know "just how standard it is." Thanks, Denise, CNM So Cal

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
