This brings up a recent case.

38-ish year old with 8+ pregnancies and deliveries (may have been 11--can't remember) was one of our CNM patients.

She was brought in near term for elective induction with cervidil overnight, then pitocin.

I found out about it in the AM after cervidil and before pitocin, and asked the CNM why this grand multip. was being electively ripened and induced.

The answer, "Because she was induced/I induced her the last 2 or 3 and all went well."

What say you at this point?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
