16 wks, twins, chorioamnionitisFrom: Ricardo Francalacci Savaris (rsavaris@hcpa.ufrgs.br)Sun Apr 30 20:30:22 2006
Dear all. Here is the case, 26 years-old, gesta6, para4, 16 wks, twins di/di, she has an intense vaginal discharge (purulent) since april 27th. She is under ampicilin+clindamycin+gentamicin since april 27th, normal WBC, no fever, normal AFI. This is a planned pregnancy. Today baby 1 is dead, AFI is low, and pPROM is confirmed. Baby 2 still fine. Labs are with normal limits, and she is clinically OK, no uterine contraction. Cervix is 1cm dilated. I decided to keep her at the hospital, under surveillance, with antibiotics.. I would like to hear from you. Ricardo Savaris, MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
