Re: Homebirth, was VBAC, ectFrom: Dean Huffman . (dean@thehuffpeople.net)Sun Apr 30 20:06:26 2006
.. When I was a resident, in Stamford, Connecticut, in the early 1980's, one of the staff physicians was involved in multiple Broadway show. (The son of another staph physician was "Mr. Bundles in "ANNIE", which was on Broadway at the time.) Anyway, there was a play called "Semmelweis" was making its pre-broadway tryouts and was playing at theater in Stamford. Dr. Deutchman made sure that all the residents had the night off and that they all went to the play (he provided tickets). I really enjoyed the play (and got a whole new perspective on obstetrics). Unfortunately, as I remember, the play made it to Braodway, but closed after just a few performances. - - - - Subject: Re: Homebirth, was VBAC, ect Has anyone read "The Cry and the Covenant" by Morton Thompson? I read it decades ago. Fictionalized biography of Semmelweis. Great, but very sad, book. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
