Folks, over the past 5 years on this list I have posted maybe 10 times, and I stated right up front that I haven't got a huge sample size to draw on.

I haven't disparaged anyone on this list for their clinical skills. I haven't questioned any statements made on the list that didn't later turn out to need a correction, and I haven't advocated the abolition of obstetrics or claimed that homebirth should be universal. I simply questioned the disparity in supporting a woman's choice to elect a surgery when it is not the most medically sound decision, while criminalizing another woman's choice to elect a home birth even if it is not the most meidcally sound decision. I support BOTH choices. It was as simple as that. Heidi -----Original Message----- From: garrys@mindspring.com (Garry E. Siegel, M.D.)

Heidi, we all continue to learn, and 100 births are a good start--no doubt--but not too many. Keep your eyes and ears open, and maybe type just a little less :).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
