I have to agree with Vickie - 100 deliveries is not a lot of experience. Listers have attended hundreds, if not thousands of births or deliveries or whatever you want to call them. Their collective wisdom and experience has been an asset in my professional fund of knowledge. As a midwife, I'm mindful of what I know and what I don't know. Midwifery and obstetrics/gynecology can and should exist with mutual respect for both professions. We each bring to the table our own skill set. Unfortunately, the OB/GYNs have to clean up the messes of those who don't know what they think they know ..... and get stuck with the liability. Just my two cents ....

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
