CNM asking questions for the OBs

One OB has 3 little kids at home and it is all I can do to get him to show up at the office on time in scrubs that do not have kid stains on them. The new OB is part time and is ONLY going to do any work on HIS call days. No way he is going to do independent research on something he is sure he knows he is right about. (He is part time retirement/call so the 1st OB can get a day or two to go to the movies with his kids and not worry about me or the practice.) So I am still the 1st assist and the one they both call for help. It is like pulling teeth to get them to keep up with anything. Life just gets in the way. Thank God my kids are in college and I really love learning all the stuff you talk about on the list. I have suggested it several times, but they haven't gotten there yet. This is rural WV. We just got internet access on the OB unit, so maybe they will read things now that I have it as a default screen on our computer... sneaky- but I can always hope.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
