I only follow IRL. Watched Mario qualify for his last Indy 500 in 1994 (sat right across the track from Paul Newman). Saw Arie Luyendyk set the one-lap and 4-lap qualifying records in 1996 that still stand (yeah, they made the cars safer, but faster is so much more fun). Rooting for Danica Patrick this year (Illinois girl from just north of here, first woman ever to lead during Indy 500). Go Danica!
