Resection and RollerballFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Tue Mar 28 14:13:33 2006
Recently someone posted that after doing the endometrial resection or myomectomy with the excisional loop that he (she?) does the rollerbar ablation of the base as well. I have a patient who recently had a H/S myomectomy and resection (+ for adenomyosis) who has had a 1 month post op ep[isode of flooding bleed with near syncope. Her H/H dropped to 9.8/29.0 (my recollection is that she was something close to 12/38 preop). Do you think if I had done the rollerbar after the resection(s) that would have reduced the likelihood of the 1 month post op bleed (during next menses)? Thanks!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
