You can register to be able to read at least recent articles for free online. I subscribe to that since it doesn't involve any of my hard-earned money going to them (and I make it a point not to read any ads on the site). Some of the medically-related articles are interesting from time to time.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
