No experience, we do the CLIA check for the fern test. I have sent for info on the amnisure product, but it is 39.95 which is too steep for an inpatient. They have applied for a CPT code so, theoretically we should be able to charge for it on an outpatient, but not inpatient which is paid for as a drg or contracted rate. ________________________________ From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn=2Enet] On Behalf Of=0D=0Armodugno@aol=2Ecom=0D=0ASent: Monday, Ma= _______________________ From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyrch 13, 2006 4:49 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: AmniSure ROM Test -----Original Message----- From: Seele, Mona <Mseele@tmh.tmc.edu> To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L <ob-gyn-l@dns.obgyn.net> Sent: Mon, 13 Mar 2006 16:40:24 -0600 Subject: RE: AmniSure ROM Test We do the CLIA form to check off the nurses and it is kept on file in the lab. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Mona, what has been your experience with Amnisure? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
