FOCUS!!!! Joe P. Joe, I don't think - and I believe you'll agree with me here - that it's a midwife shoulder chip...prior to encountering Gail's views, I've never met a midwife that wasn't as keenly aware of the potential adverse pregnancy events as any doctor. My university had a midwifery training program that worked side by side with the md training, and over the years I've worked with numerous midwives, none as blinded and blinkered and blithely rosyeyed as Gail. IMHO Gail's issue isn't specific to midwifery, doctors and obstetrics. This afternoon I have come to the sad conclusion that were Gail a bookkeeper, she'd be doing battle with CPA's. Were she a paralegal, her obdurate remarks would be directed to barristers or however UK lawyers are identified. If she were a Deacon, it'd be the priests and bishops she'd be harranguing. Gail, not my place to read your psyche, but given the public forum you choose to participate in, it is within the structure of the forum for me or anyone else who also chooses, to suggest you discuss your situation with a knowledgeable therapist. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
