Re: Gyn: LGSIL/HGSIL papsFrom: doctorjoe@aol.comWed Mar 8 13:05:40 2006
If there's a colpo readily accessible, why not just "go for it." I was always happy to think of a colposcopy as sort of an extension of the physical exam, just like the urologist who weilds a cysto or a surgeon with a procto. Quick and relatively definitive. Typically, this might be someone who had an LGSIL pap in pregnancy, a colposcopy (with or without biopsy)c/w mild dysplasia, who misses her 6 week pap, and now it is a year/18 months later. Would you: 1. Pap now 2. Colpo and pap now 3. Pap/HPV now 4. Other Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
