The point I was making is that when a doc sees a woman who wants an abortion he has to sign a blue form with another doctor. The category that is almost always used is that to continue the pregnancy would present a risk to the menatl health of the woman. No one could prove otherwise as she doesn't have to see a shrink or anyone else. It works like this. You go to see your GP about an abortion (doctor no. 1) he sends you to the hospital with his recomendation, i.e., your mental state will be harmed to continue with the pregnancy. Then the hospital doctor sees you (doctor no. 2) and signs the form that has been sent from the GP. You are then given a date to come in. End of... Gail

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
