Re: South Dakota law bans nearly all abortionsFrom: RModugno@aol.comMon Mar 6 16:00:48 2006
In a message dated 3/6/2006 5:51:53 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, el@lisse.NA writes: Abortion was not illegal, the Act however was quite fundamentalistic, allowing only after rape, incest, handicap of the fetus, danger to the mother, mental health of the mother, oligophrenia. Two doctors must independently consent, a third one must apply and perform, and a fourth (designated by the State) must authorize. Excuse me, abortion on demand was illegal. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
