breech

I went to Frontier and they drummed into our heads "Don't touch the breech"!! Let the baby's weight keep the head flexed. Only assist if the baby needs help turning and then DO NOT pick it up. Then there is also the towel flip that works. We had a C/S breech on Fir. The OB couldn't get the head flexed and pushing didn't help. I did the 'breech flip' we were taught and it came out. For once I had a trick he hadn't seen before. Made my week. We have had 10 deliveries in 8 days- a LOT for us, so I am amused at little things right now. Vicki

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
