midwifery or obstetricsFrom: GA12L@aol.comSat Mar 4 12:43:33 2006

One Registrar has written an opinion piece... Correct, it was Marek Glezerman but it only needs one person to start. Would it have given more credence to the results if there had been 10 writing about it? In any case 1 or 101, it is being taken notice of. The Bristol third stage trial was held up as the definitive study until someone started picking at it now it's regarded as flawed. I don't think you can't separate midwifery and obstetrics as midwives are the first point of contact for pregnant women here therefore the information has to be evidenced based. If all the women I cared for were low risk I would concentrate on midwifery alone but sadly they're not. Gail

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
