Farmer's Forceps is an interesting term, where did that one come from?? I would have thought that term would be more applicable to tying the cables on the calf's rear feet and pulling it out with the tractor.

I think the only indication for the "Farmers' Forecps" is if the head is on the perineum, you can't wait for the vacuum to be deployed and one push brings the head out.

In the US I would not do it, at all.
