Gail, women in the U.S. don't know when they're in labor ;-). In answer to those who want to know (when answering midnight calls) if the last exam was 4cm and stretchy or closed and long, I was that closed, long primip with contractions every 5 minutes. My daughter was born 8 hours later. I was also a multip at 4cm and stretchy with contractions every 5 minutes. For 3 days. And for Gail-both times (and the 3 in between) I knew when I was in labor that was going somewhere.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
