In a message dated 27/02/2006 23:26:54 GMT Standard Time, RModugno@aol.com writes: It depends on the time of day, whether I'm in the OR ( theatre), the office ( the surgery - boy ain't English great!), I'm getting used to the terminology now. But office sounds strange as an office is an office with computers, filing cabinets, phones and a lot of people pen pushing which I am sure doesn't describe your office. <<Let's say she comes in at 11pm and is in the 'latent phase' - I may not see her till rounds at 7am. >> So you do recognise the latent phase of labour! You see I was led to believe you didn't (not from here I might add). And I am not against vaginal exams, sometimes they are necessary but as one who's been on the receiving end I found it painful and undignified. And I never thought for a minute that you went in when the head was on the perineum. So how often are you on call? At what point do you get called in? Do you have to work the next day if you've been called out overnight? Do you ever get called out too soon? Sorry for all the questions, I am interested and this is not a stick to beat you over the head with. Gail

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
