Sexual abuse was Spanking babies

"I have, on the other hand, seen one OB put a curved peon into the vagina of female babes and open it up for the purpose of tearing the hymen. He would say, "You will thank me later on." The first time I saw it I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I asked him and he explained that this was a perfectly acceptable procedure."

I have been really troubled by this. Been thinking about it since I read initial post. This is child sexual abuse. If you saw a father doing this to his baby daughter would you stand by and do nothing? Is it because a docotr did this that nothing has been said? How can this sort of abuse be acceptable?

It's disgusting, despicable behaviour on the part of the doctor who frankly deserves to be prosecuted. I wonder if the parents were consulted prior to this being done and would they have given consent for their daughter to be abused? I wouldn't and can't think anyone else on this list would give consent.

When Denise wrote about it she said "The first time I saw this..." Which implies she's seen it done more than once. I am indeed troubled by this, is anyone else?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
