I never cease to be amazed at the capacity for self delusion which permeates the anti-abortion community. If there is one thing that outlawing abortion has never done anywhere, it is to save any lives. As those of us who were around prior to Roe v. Wade know, the number of abortions done in this country did not significantly change when that decision was handed down. All that changed was that the procedures began to be done safely, very much decreasing the morbidity and mortality. In other words, if you outlaw abortion the women will get it done anyway, just not safely, so no fetuses are saved. All we get is a dramatic increase in maternal injury and death. And these folks like to call themselves pro-life?!!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
