Re: NorplantFrom: Charlie Chambers (ricechaz@gorge.net)Thu Feb 16 16:00:13 2006
Fran I've always said that the people that put them in, should have to take that set out. Norplant was a situation where the removal was completely dependent on the ability to correctly place them. Ultrasound might help for localization but until you do the skin incision, it will hard to know how difficult the procedure might become. I would certainly warn her that the incision may be much larger than the one she started with. The other option, just leave them. On Feb 16, 2006, at 2:16 PM, fran wilson wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
