I chickened.

Cut her this PM, 1060 gram, doing not too bad, the Pediatrician wasn't swearing. Is in ICU now, surfactant is in, intubated, ventilated. We'll see tomorrow.

I reckon I could have waited a bit, since the WCC seemed to be going down a bit and still no sign or symptom of systemic infection.

But then, not only would it not have lasted the weeks required, we found the explanation for the bleeding and pain.

Art was right on the money, small abruption.

What impressed me most was that the Medical Aid's medical adviser who too 3 days to authorize the transfer to the Private Hospital forgot to authorize the ICU for the baby :-)-O

I'll keep you posted.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
