Breast cancerFrom: GA12L@aol.comMon Jan 30 05:56:57 2006
Does anyone know what HER2 is and can you explain it to me? My mum had a mastectomy for Invasive Lobular breast cancer in July followed by chemo followed by radiotherapy and is now on Arimidex. She's been hearing lots about Herceptin and is wondering and worrying why she hasn't been prescribed it. I don't have any answers for her. I looked on the internet (google wasn't my friend in this instatce, el) and found that it is prescribed to women with HER2 positive cancer! I can't find anything else out, please help. Thanks in anticipation, Gail

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
