Kermit was a master story teller. We always enjoyed him as residents, he was candid and real. Ronald E. Ainsworth, MD, FACOG -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of R. Daniel Braun Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 6:29 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: FRI Circ and masturbation As I recall 99% of the population mastubate and the other 1% are liars. I was at an ACOG meeting years ago and Kermit Krantz was presenting a talk on sexuality. One female attendee in the back of the room asked;"Dr Krantz, the other day I walked into my 14 year old son's room and he was masturbating. What shoulod I have done?" Without pausing for anything Kermit immediately responded with "Lady, You shoulda knocked." He also told a story about how he and his identical twin brother decided to do a study to see if it really caused bad eyesight. About 5 years later, when Kermit was wearing thick glasses and his brother was not, they decided that the experiment was over. Kermit then said; "I still haven't caught up with him." The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
