The question is "have you adequately assessed and diagnosed the cause of the postmenopausal bleeding?" I would say that you have and no fruterh diagnosistic studies are necesssary. Stopping the estrogen would be appropriate or adding combination therapy if she needs it for symptoms. I would go to D&C with hysteroscopic evaluation only if bleeding persists. andrew

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
