Why not try the yellow pages? If this is a 1st trimester TOP there should be no problem. If > 15-16 weeks, it would be more difficult.
We recently had a patient ay 17-18 weeks who after an abnormal AFP had a
diagnoses of a fetus with anencephaly. She had MCD and wanted a TOP.
Obviously MCD would not cover it, and most of the local facilities would not do TOP
>15 weeks. Also none of the medical centers would do them. However we were able to locate several facilites (through referral from local clinics or the yellow pages) that would do cytotec with or w/o suction. Lenora McCall, CNM Spring Hill, FL

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
