In 1990, Keirse wrote a very good review in the BJ Obstet and Gynecol performing a meta-analysis of the 6 placebo contolled trials involving 17P and his group found a reduction in the incidence of PTD. Sanchez Ramos earlier this year also performed a meta-analysis showing a similar outcome... However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
