Acid Mantle is an ointment that I was first exposed to oon the oncology
service years ago. It was for women with vesico vaginal fistulas with
contstant irritation of the skin form urine leaking etc. It acts as a
protective barrier etc. I think it is still available as a prescription.
It was similar to Zinc oxide or Desitin as I recall. andy
