I also agree -

I have learned a lot through the years in this forum - including about myself.. and planning on learning more..

All extremes are bad, if that's the right word? - - plain common sense should prevail - in the number of replies- arguments - agreeing or disagreeing..

I believe that I was one of the original 6-8 people on the e-mail discussion group that Geff ingeniously developed using the Baylor server in 93-94. I am speaking for him here, but I believe his original intent was to develop an online OB/GYN journal that allowed for immediate publication rather than the typical 1-2 year delay in current hard copy journals. Since that time, the concept has grown into OBGYN.net and remains one of the most important resource for my day to day practice.

What I hear many saying is that the posts should be concise, the responses pithy and don't carry subjects out on tangents that continue for hundreds of posts. Further, one can always communicate with a particular individual via private e-mail if there is something slightly off subject directed to one person. The common thread we all share is women's health care and being able to get ALL perspectives is valuable. We are also all quite busy and sorting through a hundred e-mails per day is cumbersome, so using common sense regarding posts in crucial - I think we all get each other's point with one post...

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
