I, for one do not like being called an inappropriate participant. I may not have MD behind my name but I did my preceptorship with the director of the ob/gyn residency program at one of the country's leading universities, sit behind his desk and see his patients. I also represented the ob/gyn community in the Gulf States post Katrina-I didn't see too many of you out there wading in the water in New Orleans or at the clinics in Mississippi. My best friend was recently recognized as one of the leading gyn surgeons in the country. I think my physician colleagues would disagree with your statement. You may delete us here but it will not erase our place in the ob/gyn world. RITA KUCMIERZ RN MSN WHCNP

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
