Re: Dr.Klein, where are youFrom: Marie Harkins (mharkins@twcny.rr.com)Wed Nov 30 11:51:16 2005
Thank you Anna. I have been on this list since the Bob Wolley era and have valued the input from both CNM and MD colleagues regarding ObGyn topics. I do a lot of gynecology in addition to obstetrics. I have found these topics, along with those relating to practice management, particularly interesting. Occasionally, threads do degenerate and need to be ended. This seems to happen more based on topic of discussion rather than input from "non-physicians" . For example, it almost always happens when the topic of home birth comes up. As soon as I saw the phrase "home deliveries are for pizzas" (which I remember coming up in a very similar thread back in the Wolley era:), I knew that things would spiral downward. On the other hand, I appreciated the discussion related to Garry's original question as it is a problem that our practice struggles with as well. So, if it is the general consensus of the current list that "non-physicians" are unwelcome to post, I would like to know. Of course, maybe those who feel that way will have already deleted this post.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
