Technically this is a ob/gyn list, hence the name. I personally don't have a problem with your posting. I think you have been professional. However, this is not a list for women's groups to be heard. I'm not saying that is not important, because it is!! The list has been a sanctuary for professionals of every ilk to discuss the care of women, and share the concerns of providing that care. Plenty of forums exist to to represent "women's groups", and they are important. I would be willing to bet that the bulk of us read those forums, actively particpate in those forums so that we can in fact have an ear to women's voices. I wouldn't jump to the assumption that anyone posting here is guilty of trivializing our patients problems.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
