I think that may be the real difference is resources. We have them stay 2 days and then beyond that they only get seen if they call (ie breastfeeding issues). Otherwise it is at the 6 week postpartum issue. I'm certain there aren't many places in the states that have enough personnel to make home visits daily for 6 days after a delivery. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
