The fetus doesn't have any rights. It has rights once it is born but not before. The welfare of the mother always comes first even to the detriment of the health or life of the baby Gail This may be part of our problem, Gail On this side of the pond we fell that babies do have rights including ones that have not been born yet. I beleve it goes back to 1776 when they yelled "no midwifation without representation".

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
