Gail's identityFrom: Zachariah Newton (zbnewton@bellsouth.net)Sat Nov 26 17:59:48 2005
Gail- Understandably, by not including your credentials with your sign-off, you have joined the many posters here who do not include professional status with their posts. There is an erosion of this standard among long time list members who have long ago established their professional status. You have declared that you are a certified midwife. You did not identify the source of the certification. Perhaps you have previously declared your credentials, more precisely. It remains that you have an established presence here, but, being relatively new, you have not yet earned the right to sign off without statement of your professional status. To qualify to post here, there are standards, widely defined, that are required. I would like to see that. This challenge is not new. You are new. We are a community that, with familiarity, does become family. The idea is to include you, subject to your qualification. Z. B. Newton, III, M.D. Ob/Gyn, retired Flowery Branch, GA --

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
