Twin question sequenceFrom: Henry Gregor (henrygregor@yahoo.com)Sun Nov 13 09:27:06 2005
Well put Joe. Some of the samples are relatively small, but it doesn't seem like there's much evidence to rule out twin VBAC across the board. Just remember one thing: "twin VBAC" starts with "twin." There's been lots of discussion in the recent decade about delivering twins (or at least the 2nd twin) vaginally. The balance is a fine one. So THAT question must be answered first. If she WASN'T a previous C/S, would you deliver her vaginally with twins? The SECOND determination is: After you've answered the first question, does VBAC make your odds worse? Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
