Preexisting anatomical conditionsFrom: Henry Gregor (henrygregor@yahoo.com)Sun Oct 30 15:58:17 2005
Good point. Years ago a fellow named (Fred?) Hoffmeister insisted that in his University training program pre HRT endo bx's be done...took a little flak from some folks, locally and in the literature. But is was a given fact that he did uncover some hyperplasias, polyps, etc. that would otherewise have been attributed to HRT at some later date. (Anyone out there an alum o his program?)

polyps. However, few patients have pre-treatment sonograms. One group
of investigators who looked at this found that many patients had those
polyps present BEFORE starting Tamoxifen, suggesting consideration of
baseline TVS.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
