Sure there are folks who can shed some light...they're often called doctors and are often available through emergency rooms as well as through offices in which they see patients.

Curt, I know, but this forum is for exchange for professionals to facilitate exchanges of ideas and information. You almost had it right when you considered checking into an ER. Absent a perceived need for an ER assessment, you ought to consider obtaining a second assessment and opinion the old fashioned way, in a face to face encounter with someone who can interview you and examine you.
