Doctors, Lawyers Develop Credibility Test for Expert TestimonyFrom: Ricardo Savaris (dean@thehuffpeople.net)Sat Oct 29 11:45:30 2005
.. Doctors, Lawyers Develop Credibility Test for Expert Testimony The Associated Press Doctors and lawyers -- often natural-born enemies in legal battles -- are joining forces in Chattanooga, Tenn. In an experimental program aimed partly at keeping "junk science" out of the courtroom, judges in malpractice cases will select an independent doctor from out of state to evaluate potential expert witnesses' testimony and help decide well before trial whether those witnesses should be allowed to take the stand. Supporters hope that the approach will spread, if the program succeeds locally. http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1130332861714 ----- End forwarded message -----

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
