Listers,
I have a patient who underwent an Uplift uterine suspension procedure. It was very successful in relieving her deep implulse dyspareunia and her menstrual low back pain. She is now approximately nine months postop and has had persistent bilateral pain at the needle insertion sites, radiating into her hips, without other radiating pathways.
On pe there are no palpable masses or nodularities at the insertion sites, nor any inguinal adenopathey. She has had no fevers, dietary intolerance, bowel or bladder dysfunction and her white counts have been normal. Bimanual exam is well tolerated and without palpable abnormalities.
I have thought she might benefit from injection with lidocaine and steroids at the insertion sites....any thoughts re mix ratios and volume, or other suggestions for eval and mgt?
Thanks,
Hank

I already got my score back.
This will be the last time also, since I am retiring next June 30th.

For those of you doing annual board certification (ABC exam), the test is due in
the ABOG offices by the end of business tomorrow. That means that, if not
already submitted, it must be send "next day delivery" today. ("Same day
delivery" is available from some locations, but is very expensive.)
Good luck.
