Daughter that is 10! Started 5th grade today. You mean this is what I have to look forward too? Gee thanks Glen -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Anna Meenan, MD Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 4:26 AM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: GEN: Nice drive, sad Dad Gracious, I've had so many of "those phone calls". #1 son has totalled 3 cars (took him 2 accidents to wipe out the first one)---the last 2 were Saturns with ABS, traction control, and air bags, thank goodness. The worst injuries were from the accident where he bounced through a ditch, hit a berm, went airborne, hit a utility pole, and landed upside down. $6000 ER bill (apparently only a Trauma Surgeon can suture knee lacs if they are caused by an AA, and only after total body x-rays and CT scans) for cuts and scrapes. Daughter totalled the third Saturn within months after getting her license in a stupid move, and middle son did serious damage to the van shortly after that. Six accidents in 5 years amongst three kids. All wearing seatbelts, and no serious injuries, though our insurance rates have gone through the roof and oldest son was purposely excluded from our policy and can get his own someday when he's far enough out from his last accident to be able to afford it. Is there anyone on the board with pre-teen kids or did we scare them all away? Anna Meenan, MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
